Raymond Hernandez stated in “The Passion for Early Childhood Learning” I am not trying to save the world.  I am just trying to make a difference” but in reality he is saving the world by saving the children.


 Ms. Winton has been in the ECE field for the last three decades which involved research, professional development, and published articles to early childhood field.

 Dr. Edward Zigler was the first director of the Office of Child Development and Chief of the U.S. Children’s Bureau by President Nixon. Dr. Zigler was responsible for starting the national head start programs, along with other programs such as Home Start, Education for Parenthood, the Child Development Associate and the Child and Family Resource Program(http://www.zerotothree.org/about-us/board-staff/edward-zigler-bio.html).

The above statements have made an impact in the field of ECE. When I read over the statements on how Mr. Hernandez is trying to make a difference, Ms. Winton is in the ECE field for over three decades, and Dr. Zigler was responsible for starting national head start programs-this is history in ECE and hopefully one day I can demonstrate the same impact to ECE.
